I’m Jason Felkey, a 27-year-old graphic designer based in Southern California. I grew up in southeast Michigan racing motocross from about age 7 through my early 20s. Moto was my whole world growing up, and somewhere along the way, around 2011, I started messing around with graphic design, sketching helmet and bike ideas in my free time. That eventually turned into a full-time career. After racing, design became the focus. I started out working with smaller brands like MotoOption Clothing and BentleyGFX, learning the full process from concept to print and working directly with customers. In 2017, I moved from Michigan to Illinois to join DeCal Works, where I worked with pro teams like Red Bull KTM and got a real taste of fast-paced, high-pressure production. In 2019, I took a leap and moved to California to become Lead Designer at Split Designs Co., which really pushed my creative, management, and marketing skills to the next level. Today, I’m a Lead Designer at Canvas MX and also manage printing and manufacturing for Lucid in Murrieta. Since being at Canvas, I’ve been lucky to work on projects with some of my childhood heroes like Jeremy McGrath and Travis Pastrana, as well as current athletes like Julien Beaumer and Cooper Webb. I’ve also done custom merch and projects for creators and influencers like Duke Gomez, Jake Paul, CBoysTV, Axel Hodges, and more. At the end of the day, graphic design is still what I’m most passionate about, especially when it’s tied back to motocross. I’m just focused on making cool stuff, pushing style forward, and keeping things authentic to the culture that got me here.
